After years of trying just about any craft I could get my hands on, and failing to stick to them thanks to my ADHD, I finally found a craft that I truly fell in love with! Chainmaille (also known as chain mail) is the historic practice of weaving together metal rings. Originally used to create armour, it has evolved into a way of crafting beautiful and distinctive jewellery in the modern age. Through chainmaille, I have finally found my forever-craft.
I work with bright and anodised* aluminium; this allows me to create pieces that are both affordable and colourful. I'm skilled with a wide range of weaves, and love learning new weaves and combining different ones. My pieces are made with care and high attention to detail, and I'm confident you'll love them; if there's something specific you'd like, I'm very happy to discuss your requirements with you.
* Anodising changes the colour of a metal's skin using electricity and a chemical bath.
Lovely colour combination, and it has such a great feel! The rings themselves are smooth - almost soft to the touch - but the design gives a great texture which makes rolling it with my fingers super satisfying and difficult to drop. Or put down in general, really...
