About White Cat Ceramics

White Cat Ceramics

There really is a kind of magic in creating with clay.

White Cat Ceramics. Jayne Chorley is a Midlands-based potter. She has been throwing pots since the 1980s when she was introduced to the world of ceramics during her teaching degree.
She makes a range of functional pottery in her garden studio using stoneware clays (smooth and speckled). She throws on a potter's wheel and fires in an electric kiln.
She likes to create pots that will be used and enjoyed. Each pot is unique in its creation.
Jayne is particularly drawn to combinations of colours. Some pots have simple stencil shapes so that the beauty of the bare clay can be seen. Other combinations have beautiful flecks or a splash of bold colour. Much of her work is influenced by the patterns and colours in the environment.
‘White Cat Ceramics’ was named after Jayne’s white cat who will sometimes visit her in the studio while she is in the process of making!

I absolutely love the stoneware mugs, they are incredibly striking and so different to anything else on the market. Great communication from the seller, easy transaction, quick delivery and very carefully packaged items.

Lovely subtle colours for these unusual shaped dishes that will be used for all sorts of purposes. Carefully finished and constructed and packaged. Thank you.
