I make colourful macrame and knitted items.

Hi I'm Una and I love making items that are colourful and tactile. In my spare time I either knit, quilt or macrame.
What came first? My nan taught me to knit in the late 1970s. Then I stopped in early 1990s as kinda went out of fashion and I started cross stitching. I got back into knitting from 2008 onwards and a few years later decided to make and sell neck warmers and hats. Started with one design and now in 2025 will be introducing a third design.
Quilting - after being brought a sewing machine for Christmas a few years back, had a go at making clothes and accessories, realised wasn't for me. Then had a go at making a quilt and loved it. I've made a handful that given as presents but not yet looking sell due to time involved making them.
Macrame - this was a happy chance. Had brought husband a kit which he never tried, so I did and really enjoyed the process. With in weeks I was making large wall hangings. Then turned to smaller items that I could sell at craft fayres, especially during the warmer months when the hats and neck warmers weren't selling.
When I'm not making things I'm either at work or enjoying trips out on the one day a week that get to spend with the husband.
