One off stitched designs!

Welcome to my quirky stitched world of Trotters 'n' Pooche, created by me, Jo Rothwell.
All my designs are inspired by Lancashire itself! Tha landscape, the architecture, the people and the creatures, mainly Bertie my dog, that live alongside us.
Using fabric as the paint and the stitch as the line I create one designs on my sewing using free machine embroidery. I am often commissioned to create commemorative pieces depicting weddings, births, families, pets, cars and homes.
Often accompanied by Bertie, my very loyal and very crazy Patterdale Terrier. I sit in my garden studio overlooking the flowers and trees doodling, painting, cutting and stitching my designs with Bertie lying at, or I should say, on my feet. That's until he sees or hears something that needs his attention, more often a fly that needs to be chased out!
Trotters 'n' Pooche was the name I gave to my Final Show of my Contemporary Textile Degree in 2009 in which I earned a First Class Honours.
Over the passing years I have traded through websites and numerous craft events throughout the North West. From 2010 to 2021 Trotters 'n' Pooche traded from a rented shop and studio in a craft/visitor centre in Lancashire. My work is now available in selected outlets which I supply sale or return. Over the years I gained many a loyal repeat customers from all the UK and beyond.
