Little Miss Card and Co. Says it all really, I love to do loads of crafts from knitting to crochet. Photo albums and cards, quilling and more!
My journey started when I was about 3 years old, with a ball of knotted yarn, I was tasked with the job of getting all the knots out of it and then winding it up so my grandmother could knit with it. It taught me patience, not much else but one other thing that it taught me was that I could make something beautiful out of something that nobody wanted.
My grandmother was a big influence in my crafting life although she only ever knitted, she was always knitting and when she wasn't knitting she was baking. I learnt these skills from her and have added a few of my own since then!
I have 3 grown lads and a husband, so four children to look after and being the only female in the house takes it's toll so when I fell ill back in 2008 and had to have complete bed rest (rolls eyes), I learned how to crochet and within two weeks I had a blanket for our bed! I was amazed and haven't looked back since.
I then found paper though a friend and decided that that was my next love, cards, boxes, bookmarks and now photo albums and brag books.
I enjoy it all but the best thing is the therapy that I get from it. It quietens down my noisy brain that is always telling me things that I need to be doing and that is just the best.
