Handcrafted soya candles inspired by the natural world

We are Spirit and Flame, a family run small enterprise nestled in the Cumbrian countryside. From our cottage we create small batches of luxury hand-poured scented candles inspired by our love of the natural world, and the wonders of the Universe. You can often find us at local craft fairs in and around Cumbria. We ensure the consistency and quality of our candles and melts using formulas, tried and tested by family and friends. Made from 100% pure sustainably sourced soya wax and cotton wicks, our meticulously crafted candles are vegan and cruelty free. Where possible we use essential oils, and if this isn't feasible, high-quality fragrance oil blends from reputable UK sources. Our mantra is 'as natural as possible', so we make sure we do this in a sustainable way, using eco-friendly supplies and packaging. Spirit and Flame is one of our retirement projects, and we have no ambitions to make it a bigger affair, having stopped full-time work. When we're not making and selling candles we are in the process of rewilding our garden and enjoy spending time in the Cumbrian and Northumbrian countryside. We have four cats, four resident hedgehogs, several Roe Deer and lots of wild rabbits (who munch all our flowers!)
