Hello, I’m Sarah.
I’m a self-taught artist specialising in pyrography (wood-burning), wood-burning with colour, and soft-wax pencil drawings on wood and unique, handmade decorations and wreaths.
I also design and create eco-friendly fabric collages, seasonal and spiritual wall-hangings, and 3D printed decorations, using recycled and sustainable materials wherever I can. My work is rooted in a love of natural textures, thoughtful craftsmanship and a desire to create art with both soul and sustainability.
My creative journey began in childhood with a splash of sibling rivalry. I realised early on that my sister was a natural-born artistic genius… and I, well, was not. While this sparked a bit of youthful angst, it also ignited a (not always) quiet determination to discover my own creative path.
That journey unfolded slowly, stretching through my teenage years and into adulthood. It wasn't until I became a mother that I rediscovered the joy of making art for fun—this time, for my child. There was no pressure, no judgment. A child doesn’t care how you draw a cat or whether a plane looks like it could fly. That freedom changed everything. I started to truly enjoy the process of practice, letting go of comparison and finding my own style.
As I continued to explore, I found myself drawn to materials that felt grounding and meaningful. I developed a deep connection to wood and fibres—natural elements that held stories of their own. I began sourcing recycled wood and textiles, transforming them into pieces of art, which felt very personal.
Now, over twenty years on, I still create with that same spirit.
My work is inspired by Irish mythology, Celtic traditions and folklore, ancient nature-based beliefs and the rhythm of the seasons.
I’m especially moved by the quiet beauty of natural materials—and the idea that a humble piece of wood or cloth can be reborn into something meaningful, treasured, and maybe even passed on.
This is my motivation. My soul journey.

I work from my home 'studio', surrounded by trees, birds, herbal teas and chocolate biscuits.
Each piece is made with intention, love for nature and a dash of magic.
