Pour Decisions began as an experiment, a way to channel creative energy, quiet the chaos, and explore colour through something tactile. I’m Chantal, a resin artist based in Belfast, and what started as a quiet hobby in a corner of my home quickly evolved into a full-blown resin studio, complete with a feline supervisor named Toby and a wall of mica pigments that now rivals my spice rack.

I’m autistic, and I’ve found that resin offers the perfect balance between control and unpredictability. Every pour is its own little science experiment: shaped by heat, texture, timing and patience. It lets me translate emotion into colour and bring a bit of irreverent joy and unapologetic boldness into functional objects.

At Pour Decisions, I make everything by hand, either as one-offs or in small batches. My work is often inspired by themes of care, humour, and personality. Whether it's a stethoscope keyring for a tired nurse, a galaxy snail for your bookcase, or a statement trinket tray that says no without saying a word, my aim is simple: to make pieces that feel personal, playful, and a little bit extra.

Toby now helps with quality control (mostly by sitting near things until they pass inspection). He’s not allowed near wet resin, but he does enjoy unboxing pigments, monitoring bubble levels, and judging my colour choices from atop the sofa.
