So why "Poesia by Alex"? Quite simply, "Poesia" is the Italian word for poetry, and I'm a poet. The word also calls to mind the old fashioned word for a bunch of flowers - posy - (the two words share the same Latin root), and I love flowers!
My crochet and macramé creations are inspired by the style of the 60s "flower children" or hippies, who handed out flowers to symbolise their love of peace and nature.
As crochet and macramé accessories are very much back in vogue, I'm conscious of the need to be sustainable and avoid "fast fashion", so wherever possible, I try to source 100% recycled yarn, and many of my bags linings began life as duvet covers! As my business grows, I aim to utilise recycled textiles more and more.
When you buy a bag (excluding pouches) from me, you are buying a unique item. No two bags are the same.

I love sunflowers and a good friend of mine as well.
I bought this crochet sunflower bookmarks as a gift for my friend.
Surprisingly, I have received the item just the day before I went visiting my friend...so, perfect timing. My friend was amazingly happy to receive the gift and so do I. Love it! Smashing gift for my mum, arrived super quick and despite what Royal Mail tried to do to the parcel everything was wrapped so well.
