Hi! I'm Angie and I own Oakdene Laser Crafts!
Our little family lives in Lincolnshire, where we moved over 20 years ago. I had always wanted to do something in the art and design world as a career, but my A levels and degree meant I was destined to become an aeronautical engineer for a decade. Bit of a change there! I then took a 2nd degree in Product Design and moved my day job into more or a marketing and brands role, but still yearned for grass roots designing and being a true maker. Fast forward more than a few years and I made it - I try to design most of my products but I am also very happy to support other designers by purchasing their amazing design work to make my products with. I work with wood and acrylic mainly, and I particularly love mixing materials, adding glass or metal to wooden projects for example. I work out of my workshop at home, along with our two dogs who are always keeping me company and asking for treats :)
