Hello! My name is Mary Valentine-George and I am a printmaker trained in Fine Art and Illustration, with a degree in Design.
I started Mary Valentine Prints in 2021 and work from my studio space at home in Nottinghamshire- with the lovely company of my two dogs Ziggy and Morty.
I use the bold medium of linocut to explore and represent pattern, shape and colour in the world around me. Each subject offers a unique problem to solve, whether it is how different building materials fit together or how a flower is structured, I enjoy the challenge of finding ways to effectively represent them in print.
My shop offers limited edition prints and handprinted textiles. Whilst I have an established style, my art and products will continue to develop and diversify as I investigate new techniques, inks, fabrics, paper and subject matter.
