Hi! I'm Lucy. I live in the countryside not too far from York. I'm a lover of nature and wildlife. Moving out to the country was one of the best decisions I have ever made! My art work is a colourful celebration of the natural world. I'm drawn to old Pagan folklore and spirituality. My art making process is unusual. I use a combination of paper, machine sewing, Brusho and China markers to create my pieces. My art can take months to finish, I often leave it aside and come back to it months later. It is ever evolving and more recently I have been drawn to creating images inspired by old nature based religions. I feel better mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually when I go outdoors and connect with Nature. I also have a tuxedo cat called Bertie who is an old man and a playful kitten combined!
