“Copper assemblages with fragments of the past.”
I spend my hours cutting embossing and soldering patinated copper, combining them with fragments of old china, keys, old bobbins, bottles, books and any other vintage bits and bobs. I trained as an illustrator but now spend all my time surrounded in pretty things turning them into assemblages. I work from a converted old stone cow shed at my home in the Scottish Borders. My inspiration comes from my garden and its furry and feathery visitors, it's large and unruly with lots of flowers and vegetables and I open it in the Summer with Scotland's Garden Scheme.
