Karen's Craft Cabin is a small handicraft business based in the beautiful Melindwr Valley near Aberystwyth in Wales. My inspiration is the tranquil scenery that I am surrounded by and which I am blessed to call home.
I learnt to sew in my teens and have able to indulge in my passion - making things with a sewing machine - for the last 40 years. The majority of my items are unique, one-off originals which are handmade to the highest quality.. The fabrics, materials and colours are carefully selected to create beautiful, unique and individual gifts.
And yes, I do have cats! Two beautiful felines (brother and sister) who have the cheekiest personalities and they can often be found seeking out my lap at the most inconvenient moment. In fact, one day whilst sewing, one of them managed to turn on the safety mode on my sewing machine. I think he was trying to tell me something!
