My name is Karen and I have been crafting all my life. I began with knitting as a teenager and progressed to cross- stitching in 2002. I started card making a few years ago and with practice, the right tools and plenty of inspiration it has become a passion. I aim for simple but elegant designs and in some I like an element of fun. I split my time between knitting and card making. I have recently started my sewing journey and am looking forward to the new challenge this brings.
At the moment I am concentrating on my knitting, particularly my bobble scarves. These are my own design and come out in some very funky colours. I also knit hedgehogs, fingerless wrist warmers, slipper boots and other types of scarf. I’d like to learn to crochet as I would like to crochet toys.
I enjoy doing craft fairs, meeting new people there and seeing the beautiful things that people make.
