My name is Julie and i am married with three wonderful children and five Grandchildren. We settled in Warrington after living in many countries and once settled here i decided to train as a nurse. It has been a fabulous career but i have always been busy making all manner of things but have decided that i will launch into doll making full time.
As a young girl of six i started sewing at school and then progressed to making clothes for myself and then created my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses I have made wonderful clothes including christening gowns from wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses for others and waistcoats for the groom and page boys. I love patchwork and have applied it to upholstery but have also made patchwork quilts and memory quilts and also cushions. I love of patchwork and appliqué and love making Christmas wall hangings and advent colanders which have become family heirlooms. And then i discovered i could make dolls and dress them too.
I am now practicing making my unique dolls because they are a little snapshot of what i have learnt to do over 48 years of sewing all wrapped up in a little person doll with their own little features that are never the same.
I do have many items that i have made and have listed them here to hopefully sell one day. But from now on i will be concentrating on my dolls.
