Trying to decide on a name for my craft shop was more difficult than I thought, names like "Shed Made" or "Made in my Shed" etc were already taken.
So I decided to put a Scottish twist on it, and call it Mahouff Crafts. A Houff in Scottish dialect is a shed, Mahouff = My Shed.

Me - a Painter and Decorator for 25 years (till I fell off a set of ladders and damaged my spine) I was needing something to do, the craft shop idea was planted after the accident 3 years ago, but I didn't get round to it until this year. I started the business in June 2025, I bought a Scroll Saw and a Combi Sander and started making items from my brothers old skirting boards, a couple of paletts, and some Walnut & Maple offcuts from a sawmill. I am still planning (very) small paint jobs, and have also learned to fly a drone and I'm trying to add that to my work portfolio somehow.
