I am inspired by nature, landscapes, animals and plants especially trees. Much of my time and resources are spent enhancing biodiverse natural areas for wildlife to flourish on my land. I love to spend time with my animals, I have dogs, cats, chickens and a horse. I keep a small flock of mainly native breed sheep and angora goats which are carefully managed to graze the land in an ecologically sensitive way and also provide fleece for crafting. Whenever I have time I make peg loom products, knitted items, and home spun yarns. Much of my fleece has been sent to a mill for processing and I now have a small stock of beautiful fibre ready to be spun or woven.
My home grown products are ethically produced, my sheep are not kept for meat and live long natural lives with me on my land. I find wool is an amazing product - it is wonderful to wear and to work with.
I have enjoyed knitting and crochet since childhood. Later in life I became hooked on knitting machines. I find peg looming and tapestry weaving wonderfully relaxing.
Working with natural fibre is a great stress reliever and I hope that others will find my fibre as amazing as I do.
