My name is Iwona, I am a Polish-born stained glass designer-maker who loves creating unforgettable pieces of jewellery and home decor from stained glass. I am very passionate about colours and textures and love playing with both to create pieces of work that inject a good dose of dopamine into peoples' lives. I am also very committed to work in a way that preserves and protects our planet. Using stained glass offcuts that would normally be discarded has been a big focus in my creative practice and one of the main inspiration behind expanding my work into making unique pieces of jewellery and producing less waste. I also love the idea of repurposing and I often use found objects such as driftwood and sea glass in my work. I am based in Dunblane, Scotland, a gorgeous town with rich art history surrounded by beautiful Scottish nature. I am inspired by the colours and textures of stained glass and how it transforms depending on time of day, weather, season or landscape. The possibilities of creating in this medium are endless. Most of the time, I use a traditional Tiffany technique when working with stained glass but I also work on larger leaded stained glass projects commissioned by private clients. I absolutely love bringing to life the traditional materials of stained glass for everyone to enjoy. I started making creations from stained glass in 2016 initially as a form of art therapy. With time my techniques improved and I started sharing my work with others. I have now many returning customers and hope to gain many more.
