I’m Rachel, owner of Foxy Emporium. I have been crafting all my life and started a hobby business with pyrograpy items in 2017. Then life happened and I had to lay down my pyro pen for a few years. But, now I’m back with both pyrography and a new found love of embroidery, with embellishments of beads and sequins.
I took up pyrography as a way of passing the days and being creative as in 2007 I was diagnosed with M.E. Being creative is so therapeutic and being able to sell the things I make gives me a sense of purpose. I work from my workbench in my little conservatory which looks out over my garden and means that every work day is a joy as I watch the birds and butterflies flitting around, though my greatest pleasure is when a robin visits and sits on my potting bench.
