Uncovering the Enchanted in our landscape. Illumination, Inks, and Painting

I have been making art in some way or another all my life, and started painting professionally in 2019. My subject matter varies, and I like to think of my artistic output as a series of collections.

Much of my inspiration comes from nature. Walking the woods, fields, and cliffsides of Sussex is an unending source of awe and wonder, and a lot of my work centres on landscapes I have visited, and the creatures I have encountered in them.

Another source of inspiration is the history of my surroundings. Immersing myself in the stories of the countless lives led and stories told before is an irresistible draw to me. Through my work I aim to bring this history to life.

The through line in all my work is a desire to see the world as alive with stories, with hope, and with enchantment. I hope you will enjoy having a look around!
