Art Inspired by the Scottish Highlands

I started painting during lockdown in 2021, as a diversion, having not painted since I was a teen. I love working with bright, bold, colours and am inspired by the sea and sunsets of my Highland Home.

My blue ‘beach hut studio’ in my garden (AKA the shed) is where I will be working later this year, although at the moment I’m using my dining table!

I mostly paint in acrylics, on canvas, and have recently enjoyed experimenting with coloured pencils on watercolour paper. Eco ethics are important in my practice and I reuse a lot of materials, as well as working with beach finds for my 3D art.

I love all animals and am friends with most of the dogs in the village.
