Making stuff out of mud

Retired in 2020 having worked in electronics all my life and decided to try something creative. My wife booked us both up for a 10 week (2 hours a week) course in pottery. I loved it from day one. We booked another 10 weeks but Covid halted it for a while. So invested in a potters wheel and then a kiln.

I love the complete relaxation when working at my wheel and the satisfaction of making something useful out of what was a handful of clay. As well as being a creative art there is also a technical aspect to the process. Bisque firing a full kiln load and hoping all survives. Then glazing which to me is the hardest part as so much can go wrong and weeks of work can be ruined.
Either joy and when you open the kiln after a glaze firing or it can be complete disappointment or a combination of both - the kiln gods decide.
