Handmade Porcelain Jewellery 925 Sterling Silver

I make fine handmade sterling silver jewellery individually set against ceramic elements which I high fire to 1220 degrees in an electric kiln. I enjoy exploring surface decoration and pattern by working on different surfaces to impart texture or by using erosion. I take pleasure in staining the clay to introduce colour which contrasts beautifully against texture and the shiny silver surface. Working with clay is an essential part of each collection by introducing a pop of colour and experimenting with texture during the silversmithing process. My intention is to carry the mark making process from one craftsmen’s material into another to create a cohesive and individual collection of affordable jewellery.
I work from my home studio in Exeter, inspiration comes from organic and found objects.
I trained at the University of Plymouth and hold a three-dimensional design degree 2:1
