Handmade fused glass designs - a journey from discovering glass fusing to becoming a shopkeeper!

Hi, I’m Sue, the designer and maker of the items you see here in my Folksy shop. It’s the culmination of a few years being creative with fused glass and gifting it to friends and family before deciding to broaden my horizons and put it out there! I have to thank my friends in the art department at the school where I worked for my introduction to glass fusing. I went along to a taster session and was hooked!

I’m also a Spanish and French tutor, and live with my husband in the Midlands. Our three children are frequent visitors in between working, travelling and university and have been incredibly encouraging and also brutally honest on my creative journey!!

I confess to having a bit of an obsession with the colour blue and my shop name is a nod to this, being the beautiful Spanish word for ‘sky’. I’ve converted one of the rooms in our house into my ‘studio’ which sounds a lot posher than it is but time flies when I’m in there!
