Original, quirky, one-off cartoons......like this cartoon of our family tree! (I'm the one with pink hair, second row down, third from the right)

After leaving school, I went to Bolton College of Art for 3 years & in the early 1980s I was a cartoonist for the Bolton Evening News. I created a topical cartoon for the newspaper once a week.
In 2011 we started a mobile farm. We took our farm animals round schools, events & fayres all over Lancashire to meet school children & the public, many of whom had never seen a pig, cow, sheep, goat, chickens, ducks, turkeys, donkey, pony……yes, we took a lot of animals!
In 2016 our farming friend took over & the mobile farm is still touring the north west.
I’m now in my late 60s living in North Wales still drawing, painting – I have my art studio (shed!) in the garden & belong to a local art group. I sell my work in a craft shop in Caernarfon & the art gallery gift shop in Llanbedrog.
My artwork is created in various mediums: pen & ink with colour splashes of watercolour or felt pen, acrylic on paper or canvas or original digitally created artwork - ideal for printing on mugs, t-shirts, cards etc.
My love of animals inspires my artwork – I have had horses for over 60 years (my lovely old Arab gelding died in 2022 at the grand old age of 31). I ran my own DIY livery yard at our farm in Lancashire for around 30 years, when we decided to retire to Wales, it was a sad day - but on to pastures new & another chapter in our lives.
Here on the Llyn Peninsula we have a collection of farm & domestic animals on our small holding - we have Zwartble sheep (all named), 2 donkeys (Joe & Lulu who was 4 weeks old when she started her mobile farm visits with her mum), 2 cats (Jim & Bob), 2 dogs (Madi & Cookie) & our 5 rescue hens (Henny, Penny, Doreen, Gloria & Janet)
A few of our sheep who live with us here in North Wales are the lambs from our mobile farm days.
