Sharing the joy of nature through painting and printmaking..

I worked in education as a lecturer in Art and Design for over 35 years. My freelance illustration career began when I graduated from University with a Creative Arts degree and has continued throughout my life as a way of maintaining my own practice and informing my teaching.

My current work involves either oil painting or the linocut print process and centres mainly around wildlife themes. We are lucky enough to have the countryside on our doorstep and I get a lot of my ideas when walking our dog and being inspired by the Nottinghamshire landscape. In this increasingly digital world, I am drawn to painting and printmaking as each piece is unique and retains that personal hand made quality often lost in mass production.
