I was born and brought up in North East of England and studied Fashion and Textiles (embroidery) at Cleveland College of Art.
Started Baroque Bags over 10 years ago. I design and make unique creations with landscapes, featuring digitally designed embroidered landmarks and animals with a focus on freemotion embroidered plants, trees and other natural features.
I also weave straps for the bags on my Inkle Loom.
I work from my home studio on the North East coast and this is a huge inspiration for much of my work.
In the Summer months, I tour local music festivals and fairs, selling my creations from my vintage caravan shop.
I have given presentations on my work at local stitchers groups (formerly The Embroiderers' Guild) and I am also currently working on freemotion embroidered panels for an upcoming exhibition (as Wendy Kitching, Textile Artist).
I have a dog (Barney) who, along with my husband, accompanies me on my travels as I gather inspiration for my work.
