About Andrew Francis Photography

Andrew Francis Photography

Abstract visions captured to inspire and intrigue.

I’m a London-based photographer, aged 58, with a lifelong passion for capturing the world through my lens. While I have always loved landscape photography, life took an unexpected turn a few years ago when a medical condition limited my ability to travel. Although photographing locally around London was initially a challenge, it led me down an exciting new path — abstract photography.

The urban environment has become my creative playground, offering endless opportunities to see familiar places in extraordinary ways. Inspired by renowned photographers like Charlie Waite, Trudy Kepke, and Pep Ventosa, I’ve embraced and combined Trudy's textural approach with Pep's unique layering technique to create captivating abstract images that blur the line between photography and art.

Through this journey, I’ve found new joy in pushing creative boundaries and seeing beauty in unexpected places. While I look forward to returning to landscapes one day, abstract photography has become an exciting and rewarding focus.
