homemade handmade gifts

I live in a Suffolk coastal village, sewing and crochet is a hobby and I have only previously made things as gifts for friends, family and work colleagues.

I started gifting items about six years ago. The recipients of my gifts were overwhelmed twith them and the fact that I took the time to make something special for them, especially in this world of mass production! and all of them thought I should start having a go at a little online business, well, due to recent redundancy it seems I now have time to "have a go!" so thought I would choose Folksy as a good starting point as I am finding that larger international sites (that I shall not name) seem to have been compromised by big corporate business and AI technology, they have lost their way as a handmade crafts site for the individual smaller sellers.

There is something so much more personal about a handmade homemade gift especially in this world of mass production! I enjoy the whole process of being able to produce something where no two items will be exactly th same, can take my time and still enjoy the whole mindful process without any undue pressure, Folksy seems the way to go.
