About Rebecca Scott Art

Rebecca Scott Art

Happily self-proclaimed weirdo making art about nature, spirituality and the human psyche.

Hi, I’m Rebecca, an artist based in Ayr, Scotland. My work explores the balance between spontaneity and control. Each piece begins with a blind drawing—made without looking at the paper—capturing raw, instinctive marks. I then build on this foundation with careful, considered details, creating a dynamic tension between chaos and precision.

I’m inspired by found images that stir an emotional response—quiet, contemplative moments or deep human connections. I embrace imperfection and try to capture the beauty in what feels honest and unpolished.

My practice blends drawing, printmaking, acrylics, inks, and dry media. I’ve exhibited across Scotland, London, northern England, and Italy, with several solo shows. My work is held in private collections around the world, from the USA to Thailand.

Alongside my studio work, I lead art workshops in schools, charities, and community settings. I also support people with complex needs in creating meaningful art through my role with a local arts charity.

In my spare time, I love being in nature, spending time with my rescue guinea pigs, learning about local history, and hunting through antique and vintage stores.

I work from my studio at Narture CIC in Ayr—a welcoming, inclusive creative hub open to all.

Thanks for stopping by—I hope you find something here that speaks to you.
