I am taking a holiday at the end of June - early July to visit family in Scotland, but will reopen on 7th July.
Welcome to my shop. I hope you enjoy having a browse. I love working with textiles, making small and large items.
I am always happy to consider commissions and can personalise items. Just drop me an email pamccrafts@gmail.com.
You can follow me on FB and Instagram as well @pamccrafts.
All the items are hand sewn by me. I am increasingly thinking about sustainability with my work and am including more repurposed projects, and trying to use organic and natural fibres and fabrics.
I donate 10% of my sales to Launchpad, a charity working to prevent homelessness in Reading
If you are in the Reading area and would like to collect from me it would be lovely to meet you and chat about my work. I have a stall at most of the Artists and Makers Fairs in Caversham

I have always enjoyed sewing and learnt how to stitch by hand and machine from quite a young age. The machine my mother had was a beautiful hand cranked Singer
By profession I am a nurse. I am now retired and decided to use my retirement to revisit my sewing skills and with some trepidation decided to start my own small business by selling on Folksy.
I enjoy making a range of items, from large tote bags, to small silk brooches. Whatever the item it is important to me to make it well, use good quality fabrics made from natural fibres, and I often source these from small UK based independent businesses. I also love to re-purpose fabrics to give them a new lease of life.
I would love to say that I have a spacious studio: in fact I sew in a small upstairs room that was my daughters bedroom, and everything has to be cleared away when she comes home. Fortunately I am a very tidy person and its not really a problem!
I wanted my sales to support a charity as well, so 10% of my sales go to support Launchpad, a charity doing great work to prevent homelessness in my home town of Reading.
That's a little about me, thank you for taking the time to read this. Enjoy browsing in my shop and if there is anything that takes your eye, even if you don't purchase, do click on the little heart next to it so I know it is loved!
