My name is Jeanette, I live in East Yorkshire and apparently I'm over 50 but in my heart I'm still in my twenties.
I'm a bit of a contradiction, My full time job I work in Accounts which is very much the same routine, methodical and serious but out of work I'm creative spiritual & holistic.
For years I Tarot Read and wrote Horoscopes then I branched out into Holistic Therapies. I trained as a reflexologist and Aroma therapist. I used to make all my skin care products myself, then I became a Mum.
Roll on quite a few years and after starting life over again as a single parent also with 2 adorable cats (yes I was that crazy cat lady) I met an amazing man and we have just got married.
The story of how I started making bags is a sad one, I had already started crocheting bags to keep my mind busy as my Mum was very poorly and then we lost my Dad. While sorting through my Dads things with the rest of the family we found loads of Jeans. I just said that I wanted them to make bags. I made Bags for my Mum, Sister, Daughter and myself using his jeans and lining them with his shirts. I had no patterns, no knowledge but I had passion and drive. We still use those bags now and out of his jeans we also have Memory Bears, Key Fobs, Purses and Toiletry bags!
I just loved making them. I upgraded my sewing machine, bought an embroidery machine (which has since been upgraded too) as friends and family started asking me to make them bags. Word of mouth happened and now I'm selling them on here and I have my own website.
Not only do I make Handbags I also Knit Ponchos, Crochet Bags and Machine Embroider accessories. I have a very small Craft Room which I share with my daughter and all her Sublimation, Vinyl & Tattoo art equipment.
The Craft room is my happy place, its compact and very well organised which is a must as I work on, an Industrial Sewing machine, embroidery machine, 2 Flat bed knitting Machines, 3 circular knitting machines along with the supplies, my cutting table, my daughter Beth's 2 Cricut machines, 2 Printers, Heat Press's etc and its only 5ft by 6ft. This is where the routine & methodical comes into play.
