Food, glorious food, that's what's featured in my shop this week. Pretty much anything can be eaten with a spoon... and spoons make great letterbox gifts. If you message me with the details I'll happily send direct to the recipient (UK addresses only) with a note to say it's from you.
If you don't see quite the right wording in the shop... whatever you want to say can be said in spoon form. Just drop me a message and I'll see what I can do!

I began upcycling vintage spoons in 2016 when I was asked to make a series of food-/kitchen-related wind chimes for a multi-media art installation with a Dada theme. I wanted a permanent way to add words, did some research and discovered metal stamping. Bought an alphabet set and picked up some old spoons at a boot sale, had a go and was instantly hooked! I've now built up a collection of vintage and even antique stamping dies in many different sizes and of course I have boxes and boxes of spoons in my workshop... it is my mission to save as many as possible from winding up in landfill. If they're too battered to use as actual spoons, they get hung on wind chimes instead.
Each letter is separately hammered into each spoon, so every spoon I make is unique. I don't flatten, bend or drill them - I like to preserve as much as possible of their original character. My spoons are vintage and pre-owned and their imperfections are part of their charm. (I always try to be honest and show you the flaws, wear marks and tarnish in my photos as well as the lovely period details!)
A lot of my spoons are unashamedly rude, because naughty words make me giggle and there is an especial deliciousness about putting very rude language on a very 'prim and proper' Victorian spoon. It can also be very therapeutic to have a good swear and there's even a word for the wonderful feeling of release when you do: 'Lalochesia'. One day I'll put that on a spoon too.

So pretty and dainty - I love it. Now just need to prepare a cake so I can put it to good use.

bought as a gift for friends’ wedding - older couple, so didn’t want or need anything, but they loved these.
They looked even better in real life than the photos, and arrived quickly and well wrapped - thank you Lynn
