Hello I`m Jenny and I run Jenny Ford Studio producing original hand-printed lino cuts.
I`m passionate about printmaking and love the process of developing a new design. I love walking and sketching outside, ideas which I develop into finished prints.
I live in North Wales within sight of the coast, but near to the Clwyd hills, so I`m spoilt for beautiful scenery!
I share my home with my Cairn Terrier Carys, who also enjoys walking & snoozing on the sofa when off duty.
I studied Fine Art at Ealing Art School & the Central School of Art & Design, before moving to Wiltshire.
For many years I lived on the Wiltshire/ Somerset border before moving to Wales in 2018. Although I`m very inspired by the scenery up here, sometimes I feel nostalgic for my old home & a bit of Wiltshire will surface in my designs!
My interest in pre-history informs the majority of my work be it fossils or ancient sites.
My editions are very small which makes them quite exclusive as there are only a limited number offered for sale. I work from my own studio in the garden and the works are all printed individually using a small hand turned etching press, so each print has a character of its own.
Art is about communication, a two way process between artist and viewer. I enjoy meeting my customers and explaining ideas and working methods whether its at an exhibition, open studios or on social media.
I am delighted and honoured to have been accepted as an associate member of The Royal Cambrian Academy in Conwy, North Wales.
