The first memory I have of my nan back in the 70s was her making 2 blue corduroy mice. I helped my mum turn the handle on our #Singersewingmachine in the 80s. I think these things sparked an interest in being #creative.Looking back I realise some of the things I loved from my childhood were #bookillustrations, the ones I still remember are drawings of beautiful dresses eg the gold dress in the #Cinderella ladybird book drawn by Eric Winter . As a teen I attended a 2 year #fashion course after spending my teens designing clothes as a hobby. I still love to design clothes. I worked in an office for 5 years, I hated it and I haven't been the same since. So for my #mentalhealth I've tried to have #creative jobs, I've worked for a #jewellery company, an #embroidery company and I sewed covers for outdoor furniture. But currently I don't have a "proper job". Selling platforms allow me to sell the things that pop into my head. I dream of being a #costumedesigner for the likes of Lady Gaga and Helena Bonham Carter, but until then, I'm happy creating my jewellery, fabric panels and whatever I can think up.
