Hey, thanks for stopping by!
I'm Ellen and I hand craft silver jewellery from my garden studio on the West Sussex coast.
Influenced by ancient cultures, geology, inspiring quotes and travel adventures! My work features lots of metal marking such as hand stamping, hammering and fusing all using 100% recycled sterling silver and natural gemstones.
ORDERING INFO: All jewellery comes presented in my branded white boxes and is posted via Royal Mail in letterbox sized boxes (apart from rings - these boxes are just too deep!). If your jewellery is being made to order the item listing will give you a timeframe and my working days are Monday - Friday.
POSTAL INFO: Most items will get posted out from the studio within 48 hours unless otherwise stated. You can choose your preferred method at the checkout.

Ever since Father Christmas popped beads and wire in my stocking one Christmas I've been making jewellery of one kind or another. Back then it was tiny necklaces for my Sylvanian Families!
As a teenager I used to explore The North Laines of Brighton and loved the shops full of glass beads, crystal specimens, incense and spell books. But if my Dad had to work a Saturday morning at his garage restoring Mini Coopers, I'd tag along so I could make pendants and keyrings from sheet aluminium and use all the tools including metal lettering stamps.
Then 'real life' kicks in and I chose to explore a career in the sciences choosing a degree in forensic and analytical chemistry. Inevitably my creative endeavors took a back seat as I began working in research and development for pharmaceutical companies.
But when the town I was living in offered one day courses in silver jewellery making via a gallery I didn't hesitate to try it out. Not only did I leave that lesson with a beautiful ring but a rekindled love of slow crafting with metal.
It took several years to accrue the necessary tools and materials to start honing this new skill. I experimented with several techniques and it wasn't long before I realised how much I loved hammering steel stamps into silver and combining with pretty gemstones. The more stones I begun to source the more my love of geology and natural history began to surface and I realised just how much I appreciated a story behind the material. This became the most fulfilling part when I ventured into selling my work - a story behind each piece and every wearer having a unique connection.
Slowly this became my full time job and I now have a beautiful garden studio 5 minutes from the beach in West Sussex! I sell my work online via my own website and here on Folksy plus a few bricks and mortar shops too.
I've always been inspired by the British coastline but I gather a lot through my international travels too. I love to hike and explore new landscapes especially if I can take my little campervan - a Japanese import Mazda Bongo. It's white so it's called Snowy and he's taken me on many European journeys including all the way to the Arctic Circle in Norway! Where possible I don't come home empty handed either and will always try and source local gemstones from the area.
I'd love it if you could join me on Instagram to keep up to date with new collection releases, daily life in the studio and out of hours adventures :)
Thanks for reading, I hope you'll enjoy my offerings and I'm always open for commission ideas,
Ellen x

This was a present from my auntie and I’m absolutely delighted with it! I love the saying for seize the day and the wings each end finish it off beautifully. It’s very tactile as well as the bar slides along the chain. Highly recommend!
