I love to craft - for business and pleasure. Working with paper and haberdashery is my passion. Seeing a discarded item and thinking 'oh, I could use that for...' gives me my trash to treasure mentality.
I have a huge collection of ribbons, beads, braids and buttons. Mostly, I use these items for papercrafts, such as card making, and buttons for artwork (canvas collages). I collect new and old buttons and I love sorting them out into colours and sizes.
I have studied calligraphy since the 1990's, and still continue to attend classes. I also love to doodle with fineliners. This is where my passion for pens, inks and paper stems from. As a small child, I used to make books for my dolls, so I loved to work with paper even way back then.
I'm from a family of crafters, my grandma taught me to crochet, mum taught me to knit, dad taught me so many other crafting skills - including sewing, basic woodwork and the importance of having good hand writing.
Also, I am a crazy cat lady.
