Welcome! I'm Chloe Metson - an independent lino print artist living with my family in Bristol.
I started lino printing about 2 years ago as a form of art therapy. I was diagnosed with MS when I was 18 years old, and though I have always been creative, have only just decided to take the plunge and set up this shop! Being a full time Mum, sometimes you need to escape, and lino printing and art has been that escape for me. The meditative process of lino carving is joyful, even if there's the odd scrape with the cutter!
With regards to my art, I love creating bold designs and portraits - whether of people or animals, but also appreciate the forms in nature and architecture.
1% of my revenue on Folksy will go to fund climate change, through Stripe Climate.
It was important to me to be as environmentally friendly as possible when I started this business, so I use biodegradable linoleum for carving, 100% recycled handmade paper for printing, and fully recyclable packaging for posting.
