I am a retired astronomer who has been weaving as a hobby over the last nine years. I have a range of different looms in my studio on the top floor of my house in central Cambridge, where I weave using a variety of yarns: mainly home-spun wool along with tencel, bamboo and silk. Originally trained as a mathematician, I enjoy the symmetrical patterns created in shadow weave; but my first love is always combining and mixing colours!
