Hi welcome to my Folksy shop!

I'm Amy and I'm currently living in The Wye Valley in Wales. I've always loved being creative. My first attempt at making jewellery was when I was a teenager. I used to make it from clay when my mum had a kiln in her little pottery studio. I ended up studying Art and Design and then Jewellery and Silversmithing, gaining distinctions in all my Diploma and HND modules. I was brought up on a farm in the pretty Welsh countryside, and also have childhood memories of living on the colourful, sunny island of St Kitts in the Caribbean. I'm part Spanish and have lived in the Southern Spanish city of Valencia and in a sleepy mountain village on the beautiful Spanish island of Tenerife. I've always been inspired and excited by the shapes, structures and colours I notice in all these different environments, especially in nature.

One of my favourite pastimes is enjoying mindful walks in nature, in bustling towns and cities in the UK and abroad. On these walks I take loads of photos of all the shapes, colours or structures that grab my attention and awaken my creative ZEST along the way! This is where my inspiration for most of my designs comes from. I like my designs to kind of capture my memories.

I've started out designing earrings but can make up other matching jewellery items to order too. I avoid using plastics in my designs and try to source sustainable materials such as natural leather, lead free wooden beads, glass beads, natural gemstones, sustainable shell pearls, Czech crystals, and metals that are free from nickel, lead and cadmium.

I hope you'll enjoy following my journey, as more of my creations evolve that echo my zesty life's experiences. All my designs are made to order. I can make up most designs as clip-on earrings, in different colours, and also welcome any other queries for bespoke orders.
