WELCOME TO PICTUREDIARY - Quirky Original Colourful Character Art & Gifts - Home Studio - Kingston Upon Hull

My name is Sally-Anne. This is the quirky, colourful story of how PictureDiary was born...

It all started way back in 2005, when my dad was diagnosed with cancer. To help me through the living grief, I joined a local art class. This is where I met Keith, my art tutor.

Weeks, turned into months and years. Keith, taught me to bring out characters straight from my imagination. I developed my truly unique, colourful, quirky style!

I have families of characters that turn up. The Fae Quirkles were born in the Summer of 2016, when they started to appear all over my sketchbooks...

In 2007 my Dad passed away. I continued to attend Keith's Art Class. The following year, I lost my My Mum to Dementia. Again, creating my characters, helped me to process my grief.

It was in 2012 I set up my website and started to sell my creations. PictureDiary Was Born!

My Creativity either through my original character art or my writing has got me through absolute hell and high water and will continue to do so all of my life...

I live in Kingston Upon Hull, with my husband of 32 years. We have three young adults in their twenties and a rather fluffy ragdoll kitty, who is seventeen years old called Majick.

I hope you all enjoy my original characters, as much as I do creating them.
