I've recently got into making tea cosies, started with one for myself for my work teapot, made a couple on request for a friend, I then found I couldn’t stop so here I am with a folksy shop!
Having made a flower covered cosy for a friend, I rather fell in love with the style so have made a few in various colourways as takes my fancy. Happy to take commissions via Folksy to suit your colour scheme

Full description
Shabby chic, vintage look tea cosy crocheted in dusky pink acrylic DK yarn with appliqued leaves and pale pink rolled flowers.
A pretty tea cosy to dress up the tea tray, would look lovely at a vintage tea party.
I made it to fit a small sized 1-2 cup teapot, Price & Kensington brand to be specific but does also fit the other generic teapots I use as models for my woolly wonders.
But will it keep your tea hot?
It will to a point. It is only a single layer of crochet. It will keep it hotter than using nothing at all but not as hot as a lined, insulated one.
This is however for a small 1-2 cup teapot and everyone knows you only get a single mug out of one or those or two small very dainty cups. It doesn’t need to hold the heat too long for that size but it will look pretty while it’s brewing!
It can be washed by hand. For my own personal ones I only spot wash the tea stains under a tap with a dot of washing-up liquid. Never had a problem doing that.
PLEASE NOTE, LISTING IS FOR THE TEA COSY ONLY TO FIT YOUR OWN 1-2 CUP (1 pint/450ml) TEAPOT
Will post using Royal Mail Tracked 48.
