The Story behind the idea
2016, early August, it was the wedding of my sister in law Vicki & her husband Aaron. It was a happy yet very emotional day as Vicki’s mum, Ann, died the week before after a long battle with leukaemia…
After the ceremony Vicki and I stood together and a butterfly came to join us. It danced around her wedding bouquet, which included flowers from her Mum’s garden.
We knew Ann was with us….
The first thing I wanted to recreate in hand embroidery was Vicki’s bouquet with a butterfly..Something to capture that moment we had…

The wedding bouquet is one of the main floral pieces on your wedding day, flowers chosen with your wedding in mind, complimenting the colour and theme of your day, and just as unique as the bride herself.
I create a beautiful detailed version of your bridal bouquet (hand embroidered using a few images as a reference), something that captures the natural beauty of your flowers which can be wall mounted as a piece of art or placed on a stand.
Using my knowledge as a wedding florist and gardener I create a detailed copy of your bridal bouquet, matching the flowers and colours as near as possible. I use a variety of stitches to represent the different varieties of flowers and lots of colours to create the different tones and shading.
This hand embroidered wedding bouquet is the perfect wedding keepsake. A treasured item that can be seen, and admired. But also a memory of the beautiful flowers on your special day.
It is also possible to add your wedding date on the piece if you wish (This is optional)
A thoughtful wedding gift for the newly married couple (I have gift vouchers available if you wish to give them something to open), a wedding anniversary gift for your partner, or just a simple way to say I Love You on any day.
