In my previous studio the local wrens would get in, being so small, and hoover up all the spiders in the windows up near the roof. In a confined space their song is so LOUD it is unbelievable it comes from such a small bird.
Like many small birds Wrens are also very feisty. We had the startling experience of 2 rival wrens meeting in our studio, and chasing each other up and down, oblivious to the 2 humans in the way. Their fight lasted for an hour, during which time they zipped past so close to our heads, we could feel the brush of their feathers against our cheeks.

Full description
A small garden sculpture of a Wren in an Art Deco style, ideal small gift for a bird watcher, available in two different finishes; with brightly coloured under glaze or with a more muted copper and rutile finish. Robust and weather proof, and equally suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces, this stoneware ceramic sculpture measures 12cm x 12cm or about hand sized. It hangs up in one direction only and can be cemented into place as an architectural feature.
