Full description
Made from 4mm ply, this Saltbox house stands about 44cms high including rusty wire chimney smoke and is about 20 cms. wide( depending on the wobbly star ).The rusty wire lower window bars and chimney smoke have been papier mached into position. The' window glass' is parchment paper. The house and the star have been painted with acrylics then sanded back for a distressed effect,then burnished.
With the house comes a battery operated tea light ,which flickers, giving a cosy firelight glow through the windows. ( Ahh, so Christmassy) !
The house is free standing and is supported by a small block of wood (wood glued).The reverse has been painted black.
The house could be stood anywhere,but looks good on a mantel shelf or during the day with the tea light off, on a window sill with daylight coming through the windows.
Please note this item is not suitable for use with ordinary tea lights, it would then be a fire hazard !
